Construction & Insurance Estimator

The Construction & Insurance Estimator role is onsite in Taylor, MI. Compensation is not specified. The estimator supports residential and commercial construction, remodeling, repair, and insurance restoration projects. The role exists to develop accurate, well-documented project estimates and scopes, including insurance restoration estimates and supplements. By coordinating with adjusters, property owners, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, the estimator helps ensure project work is properly scoped, documented, and priced.

What you'll do

• Prepare detailed estimates for residential and commercial construction, remodeling, restoration, and repair projects, including insurance restoration estimates using Xactimate. Review insurance scopes, adjuster estimates, photos, measurements, and supporting documents
• conduct job-site inspections
• develop scopes for water, fire, storm, and other property damage restoration
• prepare revisions, supplements, and change orders
• obtain supplier, vendor, and subcontractor pricing
• communicate with project stakeholders
• maintain estimating files
• coordinate with project managers and field personnel
• compare estimated and actual costs
• and complete estimates and revisions within deadlines.
