Group X Instructor

Job overview

The Group X Instructor role is onsite in Rio Rancho, NM. Pay is $18–$35 per hour. The instructor supports group fitness programming at Defined Fitness and helps members pursue fitness goals through safe, professional instruction. The instructor leads group exercise classes, adapts activities to members’ abilities, and maintains a safe and welcoming class environment. The role also supports class coverage, equipment safety, and facility upkeep.

What you'll do

• Lead group fitness classes and demonstrate warm-ups
• ensure classes start and end as scheduled
• make time before and after class to address member needs and questions
• offer modifications for physical abilities and limitations
• vary music, routines, and exercises
• assist with substitute coverage
• attend required meetings
• report group exercise equipment condition and safety concerns
• help maintain clean, safe exercise rooms
• follow safety rules and precautions.
