Seasonal Transfer Driver

The Seasonal Transfer Driver works onsite in Hart, MI, transferring items between plants within the Peterson Farms family of companies. Compensation is not specified. What you'll do

• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report problems to the onsite Ryder and PFI mechanic or take equipment for repairs
• fuel and keep trucks and trailers clean and organized
• transport loads from the main plant to OCFS according to SOP
• ensure loads have proper transfer paperwork
• coordinate with the yard supervisor and other drivers
• transfer products to OCFS at the end of shift during the off-season or hand off paperwork to the second-shift driver during the season
• occasionally transfer non-perishable supplies and equipment.

Why this role

Class A CDL and at least two years of driving experience are required. High school graduation or equivalent is required; manufacturing-environment experience is preferred. A valid hi-lo license may be required.
