Job overview

The Director of IT & Industrial Systems role is onsite in Northeast Arkansas, split between the office and plant floor. Base salary is $120,000–$180,000 per year, based on experience, plus an annual performance bonus. The role supports a steel processing and supply company’s new flat-rolled coil processing plant. As the plant’s first IT leader, the Director owns IT and OT systems, integration, infrastructure, security, continuity, vendor coordination, and technology planning. The work establishes and expands the technology foundation needed to support plant operations and future automation.

What you'll do

• Integrate ERP, MES, automation, and processing equipment systems
• troubleshoot APIs, databases, networks, and interfaces
• document data flows and network architecture
• design and maintain plant and corporate networks
• segment IT and OT networks
• manage corporate IT systems and VoIP
• establish cybersecurity, remote-access, backup, and continuity controls
• coordinate vendors and integrators
• manage IT budgets and capital projects
• develop a technology roadmap
• provide end-user support.
