Home Care Companion

Job overview

The Home Care Companion is an onsite, part-time role serving seniors in Summit, NJ and the surrounding service area. Pay is $20.00 per hour. Touching Hearts at Home supports older adults in maintaining independence in their own homes. The companion provides social connection and practical assistance with everyday activities, helping clients remain safe and engaged while supporting their independence. A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required; no CHHA license is required.

What you'll do

• Provide companionship and conversation
• accompany clients on walks and outings
• drive clients to appointments, errands, and shopping
• prepare meals
• provide medication reminders
• perform light housekeeping and laundry
• encourage hobbies and activities
• help clients maintain independence and a safe, caring presence.
