What you'll do

• Administer IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures
• monitor vital signs, ECG rhythms, cardiac and pulse oximetry, and pacemakers during MRI scans
• care for patients receiving nuclear medicine treatment
• manage labs and medications and conduct pre- and post-intervention phone calls
• start or check peripheral IVs, assess or de-access infusaports, suction patients, insert indwelling catheters, and assist with personal needs
• may help develop patient care policies, flowsheets, instruction sheets, protocols, and care plans.
