On-Call Client Support Associate

The On-Call Client Support Associate works in person at varied First Step Communities program locations, with the listing based in North Highlands, CA. Pay is $21.00–$24.00 per hour. First Step Communities works to address homelessness and connect clients with resources and services. This as-needed role helps maintain safe, orderly shelter operations while supporting clients through intake, daily needs, and transitions. Associates monitor the site, respond to issues, and build rapport so clients can access appropriate support.

What you'll do

• Monitor client transitions from intake to shelter areas and provide site tours
• check clients and visitors in and out
• maintain safety watch and help resolve conflicts
• assist clients and escalate suspected abuse or neglect to management
• help clients access stored possessions and process exits
• distribute meals and donations
• clean shelter beds, cabins, and facilities
• complete activity logs and incident reports
• perform assigned maintenance and other site tasks.
