The Nurse Resident, Medical-Surgical Telemetry role is onsite in Flagstaff, AZ. Compensation is $35.50–$56.80 per hour. The position is part of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s November 9 nurse residency cohort at Flagstaff Medical Center. The resident provides and supervises nursing care under a preceptor while developing clinical competence through clinical shifts, classroom learning, and online modules. The yearlong program supports transition to independent registered nurse practice after successful completion.

What you'll do

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect nursing care for identified age-specific groups
• use the nursing process to achieve nursing department goals
• participate in clinical, classroom, and online learning
• complete assigned modules
• work with preceptors on clinical shifts and mutually set competency goals
• and participate in continued learning after the initial residency year.

Why this role

Requires an Arizona RN license by the residency start date, BLS, and an associate degree in nursing. ACLS training is provided and must be completed before independent practice. Call may be required depending on the department.
