The Fire, Intrusion & Access Control Service Technician role is an onsite position based in Albuquerque, NM, with work at retail locations across the United States. Pay is $35–$50 per hour. Wachter provides technology services that help commercial and industrial clients operate efficiently. The technician installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs fire alarm, intrusion, access control, video, and network cabling systems. The role supports safe, code-compliant installations and reliable system operation, coordinating with installation leads or project managers on schedules and equipment delivery.

What you'll do

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and equipment for IP video, access control, intrusion alarms, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN
• run low-voltage cabling
• complete wiring, connections, and equipment installations
• install, repair, upgrade, and program fire alarm systems
• test systems and components
• ensure work complies with applicable codes and safety requirements
• coordinate with installation leads or project managers.

Why this role

ES3J license required; current applicable state physical security and/or life safety license required. NICET certification preferred. Schedule is mainly 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with some night shifts; moderate travel up to 20–30% and overnight travel may be required. Mandatory one-week in-person orientation in Lowell, Arkansas.
