The Registered Nurse (RN) — Surgical Oncology, Progressive Care role is onsite in Columbus, OH. Compensation is not specified. The 12 James unit is a mixed-acuity surgical oncology floor caring for progressive care and medical-surgical patients; shifts may be days, nights, or a combination, with assignments reviewed every four weeks. Weekends vary with unit needs. The nurse provides care for adult and geriatric patients with surgical oncology and related diagnoses, supporting treatments and monitoring in a busy unit. The role may require floating within scope of practice and includes chemotherapy, transfusions, IV antibiotics, and management of specified infusions and oncologic emergencies.

What you'll do

• Provide care to progressive care and medical-surgical patients
• support care involving chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, oncologic emergencies, insulin drips, and heparin drips
• float within scope as required
• use Epic charting
• follow infection prevention and fall-prevention focus.

Why this role
