The Testing Engineer III – Electrical Testing & Commissioning role is an onsite position in Tampa, FL. Pay is $40–$50 per hour. The engineer leads testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting work on electrical protection and power equipment. The role contributes to safe, reliable system performance by executing test plans, documenting findings, and mentoring junior staff.

What you'll do

• Test and commission breakers, switches, contactors, transformers, relays, switchgear, and control systems
• develop transformer test files and relay test plans
• analyze relay operations and troubleshoot protection systems
• interpret diagrams and settings
• lead field testing and coordinate schedules
• document results and recommendations
• mentor junior engineers and apprentices
• meet NETA standards and customer specifications.
