Lead Test Engineering Technician

Job overview

The Lead Test Engineering Technician role is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI, with pay of $23–$25 per hour. The position supports development and qualification testing of electromechanical actuation products. The technician builds, configures, and troubleshoots test systems and hardware, then executes test setups across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and environmental testing. The role also helps maintain a safe and reliable engineering laboratory and provides technical direction to technicians and support personnel.

What you'll do

• Design, build, modify, troubleshoot, repair, and support test systems
• assemble, wire, solder, instrument, and troubleshoot circuit boards, actuators, motor controllers, and test panels
• develop and execute test setups following approved plans and standards including DO-160 and MIL-STD-810
• use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and other laboratory equipment
• maintain laboratory equipment and infrastructure
• provide technical leadership and training
• coordinate external contractors
• maintain test records and reports
• follow workplace safety expectations.
