The Chaplain role is onsite at Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, WV. Compensation is $1,750–$1,850 per month. Summit Bechtel Reserve is an outdoor adventure and education facility that provides transformative experiences for Scouts and other youth. The role exists to provide nondenominational spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and mental and emotional support to Scouting guests. Through services, counseling, reflection opportunities, and youth programming, the chaplain supports an inclusive environment and guests’ well-being and spiritual growth.

What you'll do

• Promote understanding and respect for diverse religious beliefs and practices
• conduct weekly or more frequent religious services and provide counseling and support
• oversee the Duty to God Award program and lead weekly informational meetings for youth
• facilitate prayer, meditation, and reflection
• build relationships with stakeholders
• model the Scout Oath and Law
• maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• follow staff policies and procedures.
