Senior Software Engineer, Reliability

Job overview

The Senior Software Engineer, Reliability role is remote and may be performed from anywhere in the US. The base salary range is $120,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity and benefits. Nametag builds secure digital identity and account-protection technology. The engineer owns infrastructure, reliability, and platform engineering to keep the identity verification platform fast, secure, and available. The role also improves developer tooling and operational practices in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Fly.io
• own deployment strategy and service design
• manage infrastructure-as-code
• identify and address reliability, performance, and security risks
• improve logging, tracing, metrics, and uptime monitoring
• evolve incident response practices
• manage CI/CD pipelines
• build internal platform tools
• operate data pipelines and MLOps infrastructure
• review code and mentor peers.
