Early Head Start Teacher

The Early Head Start Teacher role is onsite in Clinton, IL. Compensation is $20.34 per hour. The teacher supports an Early Head Start classroom and its children and families. The teacher supervises classroom staff and develops and implements curriculum, instruction, screenings, and assessments in line with Head Start and Illinois requirements. The role supports children’s development and school readiness while maintaining required records, coordinating with families, and ensuring classroom practices meet licensing and program standards.

What you'll do

• Plan developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• use Conscious Discipline and Creative Curriculum
• work with the co-teacher on lesson plans
• conduct screenings, assessments, and progress reports
• document health observations
• complete two home visits and three parent-teacher conferences per enrolled family
• maintain classroom supplies and children’s files
• track special education referrals and implement accommodations
• prepare meals and snacks
• attend required meetings and training
• support family engagement and recruitment.

Why this role
