Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor, Transitional Programs

The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor, Transitional Programs role is onsite in Brattleboro, VT. Pay is $43.07–$64.65 per hour. The position initially provides temporary inpatient nursing supervision and will transition to nursing leadership for residential programs as they open. Brattleboro Retreat provides inpatient and residential care. The supervisor provides hospital-wide clinical oversight, supports charge nurses and mental health workers, and helps coordinate patient and resident care. The role also guides staff, responds to behavioral emergencies, and promotes patient safety and consistent clinical operations.

What you'll do

• Provide supervision and direction across clinical areas
• collaborate with charge RNs and residential charge mental health workers
• establish shift goals
• promote patient care and safety
• support staff decision-making
• provide verbal and written handoffs
• communicate critical incidents to the administrator on call
• coach and mentor staff
• respond to residential behavioral emergencies and complete post-event evaluations
• maintain unit policies and complete required education.
