Production Lead Operator

The Production Lead Operator role is onsite in Manitowoc, WI. The role sets up and operates extrusion and/or pelletizing machinery, performs quality testing, and helps ensure products meet customer specifications and delivery requirements. It also supports safe, efficient production by assisting and coaching coworkers, maintaining the work area, and contributing to training and continuous-improvement activities.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate extruder and/or pelletizing machinery
• perform quality testing and inspect finished rolls
• direct and assist coworkers and during changeovers
• clean equipment and plant areas
• record downtime
• operate forklifts, hoists, and pallet jacks as required
• train employees
• participate in Kaizen and lean events
• maintain safety and accurate paperwork.
