Part-Time Paramedic

The role exists to respond to fire and emergency medical services incidents, help protect lives and property, and provide basic and advanced pre-hospital care to sick and injured patients under department guidelines and medical protocols.

What you'll do

• Respond to fire and EMS emergencies
• perform fire suppression and EMS duties using required equipment
• provide basic and advanced pre-hospital care under protocols and the direction of the department Medical Director
• operate hand tools, power tools, and rescue equipment in emergency settings. Maintain current Iowa EMS certification or Nurse Exception status and a valid Iowa Class-B CDL.
