The Children’s Behavioral Health Counselor role is onsite in Amarillo, TX, with services also provided in clients’ homes, schools, and communities as needed. The stated annual salary range is $57,033.60–$60,652.80. Texas Panhandle Centers provides behavioral health and other support services to individuals and families across the Texas Panhandle. The counselor serves as a clinician in the Child and Adolescent Program, providing cognitive behavioral therapy to eligible clients in accordance with state requirements. The role also supports client care through intake assessments, crisis intervention, and case management, while coordinating services around client schedules and traveling regionally as needed.
What you'll do
- Provide cognitive behavioral therapy to eligible individuals in the Child and Adolescent Program in compliance with HHSC requirements
- maintain ethical, professional, trauma-informed communication
- provide intake assessments, crisis intervention, and case management as needed
- deliver services in homes, schools, communities, and the office
- complete required CBT training
- and travel in regional areas as needed.

Why this role
Requires a relevant master’s degree and an active Texas license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist, with qualification as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts. Bilingual ability and experience with youth and families are preferred.
