What you'll do

• Operate cutter grinding machines to sharpen and recondition cutting tools
• set up machines by selecting grinding wheels and adjusting settings
• interpret tooling specifications, drawings, and work instructions
• inspect tools with precision measuring instruments
• adjust grinding parameters to achieve required geometry and finish
• perform routine machine maintenance
• collaborate with tool designers, engineers, and production personnel on tooling issues
• document grinding parameters, measurements, and inspection results
• follow safety protocols and maintain an orderly work area.
