Public Space Maintenance Ambassador

The Public Space Maintenance Ambassador works onsite in Baltimore, MD, maintaining streets, sidewalks, parks, plazas, and other public spaces in Downtown Baltimore. Pay starts at $15 per hour and increases to $18 per hour on the first of the month after 60 days. The role supports the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore’s work to make downtown clean, welcoming, safe, and well-maintained. The ambassador performs hands-on cleaning and maintenance, identifies and reports public-space concerns, and supports events and downtown operations while maintaining a professional presence in public areas.

What you'll do

• Remove litter, debris, weeds, graffiti, and waste
• sweep and clean public areas
• empty outdoor receptacles
• clean public furniture and infrastructure
• inspect assigned areas and report maintenance or safety concerns
• assist with events and projects
• maintain public-space furniture
• use hand tools and cleaning equipment
• operate specialized equipment when trained, assigned, and qualified
• complete route and equipment documentation.
