The Maintenance Technician II – Automated Robotics Systems role is an onsite, full-time position in York, PA, paying $25–$36 per hour. The role supports Symbotic’s Customer Operations organization, which operates its robotic material-handling systems and works with onsite customers on quality, safety, and system performance. The technician inspects, troubleshoots, calibrates, and repairs automated storage and retrieval equipment, robotic vehicles, lifts, and related mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC systems. This work helps maintain continuous system operation and throughput, with repairs and maintenance documented in the computerized maintenance management system.

What you'll do

• Inspect automated storage and retrieval systems, robotic vehicles, adapters, and lifts
• adjust, calibrate, repair, replace, or modify components
• monitor system flow and throughput
• troubleshoot vehicle faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and test equipment
• document inspections, parts, labor, and repairs in the CMMS
• communicate production-impacting issues and corrective actions
• recover robotic vehicles
• perform minor utility work and robotic-arm setup and tool changes
• maintain cleanliness and follow 5S policies
• perform Cell Operator functions as needed.

Why this role

Two listed schedules: Sunday–Tuesday plus every other Wednesday, 6 a.m.–6 p.m.; or Thursday–Saturday plus every other Wednesday, 6 p.m.–6 a.m. Requires at least three years of mechanical automation systems experience or equivalent educational/training experience; PLC knowledge and troubleshooting are required.
