Dermatology Specialists is a private dermatology practice providing medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatologic care. The Clinical Dermatology Technician supports physicians and the clinical manager in providing dermatology services and patient care. The role offers hands-on clinical experience for students graduating in December 2026 or May 2027 who plan to take a gap year before applying to medical or physician assistant school; onsite training and reimbursement for a 16-hour online Derm Tech course are provided.

What you'll do

• Room patients and assist physicians with procedures
• prepare patients for examinations and obtain visit history and chief complaints
• assist with biopsies and selected surgical and cosmetic procedures
• take patient calls and relay information between patients and physicians
• maintain the pathology process
• perform physician-ordered suture removal, dressing changes, and patch testing
• provide physician-directed patient education
• sterilize equipment and rooms
• assign triage priority based on available information
• coordinate patient needs with supporting pods
• document patient needs clearly and accurately.
