The Mental Health Counselor — Clinical Stabilization Services role is onsite in Roxbury, MA, with full-time schedules of five days per week: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, with early and late morning shifts available. The approved salary range is $25–$38 per hour, depending on relevant education, licensure, and experience. The Dimock Center’s Behavioral Health Services programs provide residential and outpatient treatment. Working with a multidisciplinary team, the counselor provides clinical support to people receiving residential treatment after withdrawal management and before their next level of care. Counseling, assessments, crisis response, care coordination, and documentation support stabilization, recovery, and transition to ongoing services.

What you'll do

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling and brief supportive therapy
• facilitate psychoeducational groups
• complete biopsychosocial assessments and contribute to treatment planning
• manage an assigned caseload
• coordinate referrals and transitions with the multidisciplinary team
• provide crisis prevention, intervention, and risk assessments
• support recovery and community reintegration
• complete clinical and insurance documentation
• participate in meetings, training, and supervision.
