What you'll do

• Greet and check in patients
• obtain and verify demographic, insurance, and privacy information
• update insurance and demographic details in EHR and billing systems
• collect and post patient payments
• schedule and coordinate appointments, follow-ups, testing, and referrals
• verify insurance eligibility and benefits and assist with pre-authorizations and referral coordination as needed
• maintain medical charts and correspondence
• answer and direct calls
• communicate with patients, providers, referring offices, and staff
• follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
• maintain proficiency with charting and scheduling systems.
