Construction Project Planner

Job overview

The Construction Project Planner role is onsite in Mount Vernon, IN. Compensation is not specified. The planner supports Hargrove Engineers & Constructors' heavy industrial engineering projects and client work. The role develops and maintains project schedules, monitors costs, and supports estimating and change management. By identifying schedule and safety conflicts and coordinating updates with field and project teams, the planner helps projects progress with informed planning and controls.

What you'll do

• Plan and schedule heavy industrial engineering projects and monitor project costs or estimates
• develop schedules and analyses for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify potential safety and schedule conflicts
• update schedules using meetings, coordination interviews, and field verification
• apply earned value and project productivity concepts
• maintain change notice and change order systems and assist with weekly hearings and committee meetings
• support construction and contract strategies related to logistics and safety
• and assist with quantity analysis and estimating. Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project proficiency are required.

Why this role

Requires five or more years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control, and estimating. High school diploma or equivalent required; a related bachelor's or master's degree and AACE or PMI certification are preferred.
