The Driver, Patient Transportation role is onsite in New York, NY. Compensation is $21 per hour. The Floating Hospital provides healthcare regardless of identity, insurance status, or ability to pay, including care for homeless families in shelters and domestic violence safe houses. The driver transports clients to and from medical, dental, and mental health appointments and supports outreach and appointment coordination. The role also maintains vehicle and outreach records and works with the Transportation Manager and caseworkers to support dependable access to care.

What you'll do

• Review transportation schedules and confirm daily pickups with the Transportation Manager
• drive clients to and from residences for medical, dental, and mental health appointments
• perform clerical outreach tasks and schedule appointments as needed
• conduct onsite outreach activities
• maintain vehicle mileage, maintenance, and outreach logs
• keep outreach vehicles clean and coordinate maintenance and repairs with the Transportation Manager
• stay in contact with caseworkers at public housing projects.

Why this role
