Compression Technician

Job overview

The Compression Technician role is onsite in Edmond, OK, with daily regional travel between compression hubs and possible travel outside the assigned region. Compensation is not specified. Certarus provides compressed natural gas, renewable natural gas, and hydrogen distribution solutions to remote communities and industrial customers not connected to a pipeline. The technician maintains and commissions compression assets, troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation issues, and supports safe equipment operation. The role contributes to reliable delivery of lower-carbon energy solutions and maintenance best practices.

What you'll do

• Maintain permanent and portable CNG compression equipment
• inspect used parts and measure dimensional requirements
• troubleshoot equipment performance issues, including electrical, PLC, and instrumentation systems
• commission new assets and conduct end-service inspections
• maintain parts inventory and CMMS records
• prepare maintenance reports
• support maintenance program development and equipment housekeeping.
