The engineer leads complex energy-hardware design work from concept through qualification and production, identifying where additive manufacturing can enable improved performance, cost, or lead time. The role also provides technical direction, collaborates across engineering and operations, and contributes to product and technology roadmaps.
What you'll do
- Design and redesign energy hardware including turbines, heat exchangers, valves, pressure vessels, burners, and balance-of-plant components
- assess requirements and system constraints
- lead first-principles redesigns
- evaluate materials, tolerances, thermal and structural behavior, and production considerations
- advise on design tradeoffs and scalability
- collaborate with internal teams and customer engineering teams
- identify new applications and inform technology roadmaps.
