Staff Accountant

Job overview

The Staff Accountant role is an onsite, full-time position in Rochdale, MA, with annual compensation of $75,000–$85,000. The role reports to the Accounting Manager and supports Vangarden Cannabis’s Finance team as it works across Finance and Operations. This position helps keep financial records accurate and supports close, reporting, and planning activities. By handling reconciliations, accounting entries, inventory schedules, and related analysis, the Staff Accountant contributes to reliable financial information and day-to-day Finance team needs.

What you'll do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• prepare and post journal entries and period-end adjustments
• reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
• review revenue and expenses
• prepare inventory valuation and cost of goods sold schedules
• maintain fixed asset schedules
• record intercompany and payroll entries
• prepare financial reports and variance analyses
• support budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, accounts payable and receivable review, and audit requests
• identify process and internal-control improvements.
