The Shipboard Electrical Technician role is onsite at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk, VA, with up to 10% travel anticipated. Compensation is $37.68 per hour, plus $5.09 per hour in health-and-welfare benefits. THOR Solutions provides mission-critical support to defense and public-sector customers, including the U.S. Navy. The technician supports Navy shipboard auxiliary equipment readiness through technical assistance, readiness assessments, and reporting. The work draws on shipboard electrical and equipment expertise to support maintenance and assessment activities.

What you'll do

• Provide technical assistance
• support Total Ship Readiness Assessments and monthly status reports
• support U.S. Naval shipboard auxiliary equipment at MARMC
• visit waterfront and shipboard environments as needed
• interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics
• use instrumentation to diagnose equipment.
