What you'll do

• Develop supplier relationships
• source and purchase COTS and non-COTS components and materials
• evaluate supplier capabilities
• review engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
• qualify suppliers
• request and evaluate quotes
• negotiate pricing and delivery schedules
• issue and track purchase orders
• address delays, shortages, discrepancies, and quality issues
• manage RMAs
• maintain purchasing data in the MRP system
• identify cost, lead-time, reliability, and supply-risk improvements
• document purchasing activity
• and report KPIs.
