What you'll do

• Collect blood samples by venipuncture
• verify patient identity
• label, handle, process, prepare, transport, and store specimens
• prepare and track tests sent to reference laboratories
• generate and route billing information
• notify nursing staff or physicians about unusual or critical results
• document quality control and maintenance
• maintain supplies and work areas
• and comply with OSHA, CLIA, and confidentiality requirements.

Why this role

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:15 a.m.–4:00 p.m., plus one weekend per month, 7:15 a.m.–12:00 p.m. The primary location is the Perimeter office, with possible coverage at two other locations as needed. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy training through a certified medical assistant or phlebotomy program are required.
