Lead Technician, Structured Cabling

The Lead Technician, Structured Cabling role is onsite in Fort Wayne, IN, with compensation of $35–$39 per hour. E2 Optics installs technology infrastructure, including structured cabling systems supporting data centers and other advanced environments. This role leads small technician and installer teams while completing cabling installation, testing, and troubleshooting. It supports safe, organized project delivery and develops team members through training and guidance.

What you'll do

• Install structured cabling systems
• interpret floorplans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets
• set up copper and fiber testers
• terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot fiber and copper installations
• lead teams of 3–5 technicians and installers
• train and develop team members
• oversee jobsite organization and housekeeping
• follow company and client safety policies.
