Document Specialist — Tax and Client Documents

The Document Specialist works onsite in Pleasanton or Cupertino, California. Compensation is $28–$34 per hour. The specialist reviews, organizes, and confirms the accuracy and completeness of client documents so they are accessible to Client Success team members and Tax Preparers. The role supports timely tax engagements through document processing, client communication, confidentiality, and office support.

What you'll do

• Triage and sort physical and portal documents
• review and proofread for accuracy and completeness
• scan documents into Aardvark systems
• process intake documents and move tickets through the intake pipeline
• protect privacy and data
• conduct drawer audits and return source documents as needed
• coordinate with Client Success and Tax teams
• communicate with clients about outstanding documents
• assemble tax packages as assigned
• provide front-desk backup.
