Resident Assistant – Weekend Evenings

Job overview

The Resident Assistant role is onsite in Alexandria, MN, with pay of $18.50–$23.65 per hour. The position supports residents in the nursing department at Vivie’s Nelson Gables community. The role helps residents with daily living, meals, mobility, and activities while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment. By monitoring and reporting changes in residents’ health and helping new residents settle in, the assistant contributes to dignified, connected daily living.

What you'll do

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility
• support meals, restorative care, and life skills
• encourage social, recreational, and wellness activities
• help maintain resident spaces through housekeeping and laundry
• prepare and serve meals and snacks
• report changes in health or emotional well-being to nursing staff
• welcome new residents and support their transition.

Why this role

Schedule is 16 hours per pay period, 2:30 p.m.–11 p.m., every other weekend and holiday. Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required; Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some assisted-living levels.
