The role also supports continuity of care through patient education, accurate records, and coordination with ophthalmologists and primary care clinicians.

What you'll do

• Conduct eye examinations
• diagnose and treat common vision conditions
• prescribe glasses and contact lenses
• provide pre- and post-operative care
• monitor chronic eye conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
• educate patients on eye health and prevention
• maintain patient records
• collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• stay current on optometric practices
• respond to patient inquiries about insurance and billing.
