The Toolmaker / Precision Machinist — First Shift role is onsite in Mauldin, SC, full-time, Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; compensation is not specified. CompX National manufactures security products. The role builds and repairs tooling, dies, fixtures, and prototype parts, operating tool-room equipment and using machining software to support engineering and production needs.

What you'll do

• Build and repair tooling and dies
• operate wire EDM, CNC vertical and other tool-room equipment
• build fixtures and machine parts
• fabricate jigs, tools, dies, and master tooling
• build engineering prototype parts
• operate Mastercam
• read and interpret blueprints.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED and five or more years of tool-room experience. Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology, toolmaking experience, and CNC machining/programming experience are preferred.
