Factory Layout Designer

The Factory Layout Designer role is onsite in Kansas City, MO; compensation is not specified. The position designs and updates factory layouts and supports the sales department and other teams on layout-related matters. The role exists to develop project layouts and detailed drawings that meet customer requirements and safety standards while helping control project costs and timelines and supporting estimating, production, installation, and sales engineering.

What you'll do

• Design and optimize factory layouts using 2D and 3D software
• create detailed 3D elevations
• prepare equipment parts lists and bills of materials
• integrate electrical components into project layouts
• release items for production in ERP software
• prepare drawings for approval, factory integration, and customer installation
• update master plans after installation
• collaborate with sales engineering
• lead project meetings
• conduct occasional technical client visits and point-cloud scans
• consider manufacturing costs, timelines, and installation needs.
