The Lead Early Childhood Teacher, Pre-K role is onsite in Novi, MI, with pay of $18–$20 per hour. The Goddard School’s Pre-K classroom serves children ages 4.5 to 5 and older, using its Wonder of Learning curriculum to support development and kindergarten readiness. The teacher leads developmentally appropriate instruction and daily activities while maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom. Observing and documenting children’s development, communicating with families, and collaborating with assistant and resource teachers support each child’s learning and social-emotional growth.

What you'll do

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using the Wonder of Learning curriculum
• maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom
• communicate with families about children’s progress and daily activities
• supervise indoor and outdoor activities and follow health, safety, and licensing requirements
• observe, assess, and document learning and development
• participate in professional development
• support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers
• use positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
