Assistant Cook, Morning and Night Kitchen Shifts

The Assistant Cook role is onsite in Orem, UT, and pays $16 per hour. This part-time kitchen position includes Monday 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. and Friday/Saturday 4–9 p.m. shifts; the kitchen is closed Sundays. The assistant cook supports the lead cook with food preparation, service readiness, food safety, and kitchen organization. The role helps maintain stocked production areas and communicates preparation and cooling details to the next shift.

What you'll do

• Prepare proteins, sauces, and hot items under the lead cook’s instructions
• support cooking, reheating, cooling, and storage with temperature records
• keep production areas and service lines stocked
• label and organize food using expiration dates and FIFO rotation
• clean and sanitize equipment and surfaces
• report missing ingredients or damaged equipment
• document preparation and cooling for the next shift
• assist with opening, closing, and other stations as needed.
