The Survey Crew Chief role is onsite in Gainesville, FL, and pays $30–$35 per hour. The position leads field surveying work for DRMP’s Survey Department in Gainesville. The Crew Chief coordinates the crew, equipment and field effort so surveying tasks are completed to company standards and results are clearly documented. The work supports construction, topographic, boundary, right-of-way and control survey projects.

What you'll do

• Assign and monitor crew work
• instruct and train crew members in survey methods, equipment use and field safety
• gather survey data using conventional and GPS methods
• operate surveying equipment
• prepare field notes and drawings
• perform field surveys for roadway, bridge and flood-control projects.
