The Co-Teacher (Escondido) position is onsite in Escondido, CA. Pay is $23–$24 per hour. The Co-Teacher partners with the Lead Teacher and Site Supervisor at Heartbeat Music & Performing Arts Academy to support classroom instruction and operations. The role helps implement developmentally appropriate learning activities, supervise children, support classroom routines and documentation, and engage with families. It contributes to consistent, safe classroom operations and learning tailored to children’s developmental needs.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Site Supervisor to implement curriculum, activities, small-group instruction, and learning centers
• follow lesson plans and schedules
• adapt activities to children’s needs and assessment information
• supervise children and support routines
• use positive behavior guidance
• report safety, health, behavioral, or compliance concerns
• assist with observations, portfolios, assessments, and records
• build professional relationships with families
• support classroom setup, sanitation, and operations
• follow policies, licensing requirements, and program standards.
