What you'll do

• Operate treatment facilities and control flow and processing of water, wastewater, sludge, and effluent
• operate valves, gates, pumps, engines, and generators
• monitor gauges, meters, and control panels
• report abnormalities
• maintain shift logs and readings
• collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests
• perform routine maintenance and custodial duties
• follow directions and maintain cooperative working relationships.
