Swiss CNC Operator II

Job overview

The Swiss CNC Operator II role is onsite at the Franklin, MA facility. Compensation is $22–$27 per hour. The position performs machining work at Tegra Medical’s facility. The operator sets up and runs CNC Swiss-style lathes and other CNC equipment to produce small-diameter, close-tolerance parts to specifications. The role contributes to quality and consistent production by monitoring machine operation, making appropriate adjustments, inspecting parts, recording measurements, and communicating process information across shifts.

What you'll do

• Review setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedures, machining sequence, and finished-part dimensions
• load control media and retrieve programmed instructions
• attach fixtures and tooling according to setup instructions
• operate CNC Swiss-style lathes, CNC lathes, milling machines, and secondary equipment
• monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues
• make minor adjustments and escalate changes beyond that scope
• perform first-piece and in-process inspections and record measurements
• monitor trends and maintain specifications
• communicate instructions across shifts
• assist with prove-outs and process improvements.
