School Bus Driver

The School Bus Driver works onsite in Chicago, IL, on a part-time basis. The stated hourly pay range is $20–$24. The driver transports students and adults safely to and from school programs and field trips. What you'll do

• Transport children and adults to and from programs and on field trips
• arrange annual bus inspections and approved repairs
• inspect the bus daily and report concerns
• check communication devices before trips
• arrange routine maintenance and ensure adequate fuel
• develop and follow safe routes
• comply with road and safety regulations
• ensure appropriate child restraints and safe loading and unloading
• help maintain child/staff ratios
• ensure no child is left unattended
• clean the bus
• inventory emergency and first-aid supplies
• conduct and document drills
• follow accident and emergency procedures
• attend training and maintain confidentiality.
