Job overview
The Medical Assistant role is onsite in San Andreas, CA, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Compensation is $25.56–$30.10 per hour. MACT Health Board’s mission is to improve the health status of American Indian and Alaskan Native people through a range of health services.
What you'll do
- Support Medical Department staff and assist patients throughout their visits
- prepare for upcoming appointments and participate in team huddles
- ensure reports, labs, and information are available in medical records
- escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- assist providers with exams and procedures
- perform lab tests, screenings, and phlebotomy consistent with training and clinic policies
- maintain equipment and supplies
- clean and restock rooms
- monitor provider inboxes and assist with tasks and medication refills
- complete prior authorizations as needed
- maintain immunization and injectable records
- follow safety and control standards.
