The Senior Legal Counsel is an onsite role based in New York, NY. This position supports HSBC's Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Infrastructure & Project Finance team by providing legal advice and support for complex financing transactions. This role exists to manage the full lifecycle of project finance transactions, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance while supporting business growth. The Senior Legal Counsel contributes to the bank's mission by mitigating legal and reputational risk in large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.

What you'll do

• Provide legal advice on project finance and infrastructure lending.
• Advise on project finance structures and concession agreements.
• Review and negotiate key project finance documentation.
• Manage panel law firms and legal spend.
• Collaborate with global legal teams on cross-border transactions.
