Activities Assistant

Job overview

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Sandisfield, MA, with pay of $18 per hour and a 4 p.m.–8 p.m. shift, 16 hours per week, with rotating weekends. The role supports recreation programming at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, an all-male skilled nursing facility with a large veteran population. The assistant helps provide activities tailored to residents’ interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. By coordinating individual and group programming, encouraging participation, and communicating significant findings, the role contributes to residents’ engagement and supports the therapeutic team’s care goals.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and run events and activities
• build relationships with residents to tailor programming
• organize group and individual activities
• generate engaging activity ideas
• encourage resident participation
• assist with resident care goals within the therapeutic team
• document and report unusual or significant findings and reportable events. A high school diploma or equivalent is required
