Senior Structural Engineer

The Senior Structural Engineer role is onsite in Scranton, PA, and pays $90,000–$120,000 per year. The position is in LaBella Associates' Structures Discipline, which provides structural engineering services for new design, repair, rehabilitation, investigation, and performance evaluation of constructed works. As a lead engineer, the role supervises engineers, designers, and technicians and delivers structural design and construction documents for complex projects. The work also supports project delivery through technical reviews, site visits, budget management, client relationships, and coordination with regional managers and other disciplines.

What you'll do

• Lead and supervise structural engineers, designers, and technicians producing construction documents, drawings, specifications, bidding materials, and construction administration
• review calculations and documents
• develop system layouts and perform calculations
• coordinate with other disciplines
• conduct site visits and cost estimates
• prepare technical specifications and engineering reports
• review shop drawings and product submittals
• inspect construction work
• manage project budgets, hours, and resources
• maintain client relationships
• complete complex and specialty design
• share technical developments
• coordinate workload and assist with business proposals.

Why this role

Requires at least 15 years of consulting engineering experience, a BS in Civil Engineering, and a New York State PE license. Revit experience is a plus; experience with computer analysis software is essential.
